Charity Impact Podcast: Paul Nott – how to recruit and retain the best staff for your charity. (#4)
THE CHARITY IMPACT PODCAST: CHARITY STAFF RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION WITH PAUL NOTT
Charity staff recruitment and retention, with Paul Nott, specialist consultant
“If there was one thing I could change about the sector it would be the diversity of trustee boards”
Paul Nott is a consultant helping with charity staff recruitment and retention.
Paul provides consultancy to charities to improve their internal systems to both attract new staff and, as importantly, to retain the good people they already have.
Paul is also a coach, helping individuals and teams to develop their careers, create their own definitions of success and plan achievable steps to make them happen.
Prior to this Paul has been a recruitment consultant specialising in fundraising, marketing and senior roles in the sector for the last 16 years and has also been a fundraiser, a charity founder and a trustee.
In this episode, we discuss charity staff recruitment and retention in some detail – the challenges and solutions; tips for learning and development; career advice and more.
As I mentioned in the podcast launch, my plan is to produce a series of say six to 10 episodes and then review whether to continue or not.
If you enjoy the podcast and haven’t done so yet, please do leave a rating/review on Apple Podcasts, Spotify or the podcast platform you use; or if you’d prefer to share constructive feedback by e-mail, please do. I would really appreciate any feedback so I can get a sense of whether the podcast is adding value for you or what I could do to improve it.
