ONLINE TRAINING COURSES
We know that charities like yours change people’s lives and it’s your role to secure the grant funding that will help to increase your impact.
The trust fundraising and bid writing process can be challenging, frustrating and deliver low success rates when your team have limited experience or are unsure where to focus. In addition to our full Trust Fundraising Training programme, we have developed a series of online training courses to develop specific areas of your trust fundraising.
These courses are ‘on-demand’. You can access and revisit the course materials and downloadable resources as you develop your trust fundraising. Each course also comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee.
PROSPECT RESEARCH
This course takes you through each step to identifying and prioritising the funders that are most likely to support your charity with the size of grant funding you need.
You will receive all of the templates and resources you need to begin to find funders for your charity to grow your grants income.
Excellent resources I could use immediately – especially the funding pipeline spreadsheet. I have now adapted my own spreadsheet, using features of this. Thank you!”

BUILDING YOUR CASE FOR SUPPORT
This course will take you, step-by-step, through the process of building a case for support for your most pressing funding priority.
Together, we will make sure you have the information and narrative you need to submit thorough, compelling applications and increase your grant income. You will learn how to articulate with evidence and emotion, why funders should support your charity/project.
As we go through each section to the case for support, you will be provided with real examples that demonstrate the learning in practice. After each section, you will use your new skills and the course resources to write the section for your own charity.
By the end of the course, you will have an outline draft of a case for support for your charity. You will also identify gaps in information and areas you can improve in order to increase your trust fundraising success rate.
Once you have written or refreshed your case for support, you can use the process again and again to develop a portfolio of cases for support for your charity’s projects and core services.
MANAGING YOUR TRUST FUNDRAISING
This course is designed around our five-step trust fundraising framework. Together we will explore three key areas to your trust fundraising programme.
Firstly, we will look at applications, to develop an understanding of how to prepare compelling responses to the questions funders ask you, within tight word counts.
Next, we will look at the internal management of your trust fundraising programme. We will explore the internal processes that you need in place for your trust fundraising and will create an action plan of how you can work with your colleagues to get the information you need.
Finally, we will explore how you can build long term relationships with funders to grow your grant income.
WE ASK OUR PARTICIPANTS FOR FEEDBACK AT THE END OF EACH TRAINING COURSE:
All modules, training delivery and supporting materials were rated as ‘excellent’.
I am sad that the training is finished – always a good sign, but also really excited to put what I have learned into practice.
I liked the clear layout of the course. I appreciated all the templates that are really useful. I feel like I am cheating, yet also delighted to save our charity time and their precious resources by having them.
I was also pleased to read the follow-on emails with all the additional KEDA resources.
I cannot think of anything that I would change. This course really is excellent value for money and, speaking to others who have been on similar training, they paid over £1,500 for inferior courses.
Every penny at our small charity is hard-earned and so I hate spending anything that is not benefitting the young people directly. In this case, I am sure that the training will be invaluable in raising more funds, targeting grants more intelligently and hopefully increasing our capacity to support more young people from our community. A BIG THANK YOU!”
Kathryn Magro, Training Participant, October 2020.
WHO DELIVERS THIS TRAINING?
Since KEDA Consulting was established in November 2013, we have secured over £20 million for our clients and our team have raised millions more in their prior roles. On average, for every £1 spent on our trust fundraising services, our clients have received £12 in grant income, compared to an industry benchmark of £9. We ask our clients for feedback and 100% say they would work with us again.
Our training is based on our skills, knowledge and resources that have been built over time and are used in practice daily through our trust fundraising service for clients. We are always learning about what works best and how grant making trends are developing so that we can incorporate this into our client service and training programme.
Our trust fundraising training is delivered by Amy Appleton, one of KEDA Consulting’s team of fundraising consultants since April 2018. Amy has a strong track record of securing large grants for our clients and helping them to develop successful trust fundraising programmes that maximise their grant funding potential. Amy has a popular training style and has received excellent feedback from participants at our training events and at external conferences, for example Amy received the highest feedback scores of all speakers at the Institute of Fundraising’s 2019 North East Fundraising Conference.
HAVE YOU COMPLETED THE TRUST FUNDRAISING SCORECARD YET?
To find out which training course is right for you, you may find it helpful to take the Trust Fundraising Scorecard. The assessment takes just 10 minutes, is completely free and will identify the areas where you can make the most improvement to increase your annual grant income.
The scorecard results will highlight the areas in your trust fundraising programme that need the most improvement. Use these results to decide which of the courses above to prioritise.
